Beginnings are hard.

Sometimes the hardest part of a project is getting the ball rolling. You put it off. You dream about it. You make up reasons why you can’t start yet, and then, it’s to late. You missed your window of opportunity. Despair and regret sink in.

I can’t let that happen.

Maybe the fear of procrastination is what indirectly led to the creation of this podcast… Maybe it’s the fear of losing relationships or forgetting where I’m from in my quest to find out where I’m going. Maybe at the end of the day I want a space to share stories, create opportunities for people to encourage others, and share what God is doing in their lives. I think I can shine a little light of truth in a world coated with dark lies… Or at least point to something that can.

Whatever the reason, initiate countdown. We are launching.

1. Why this? Why now? Why??

ANSWER: I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS!

What does it mean to be human? How much work is good and how much is too much? Why is time going so fast? What is MY purpose? Will my job be around in 20 years? Should I be doing things today in response to the previous question?

These are all questions that have kept me up at night. I don’t think I am the only one. Western thought attempted to free itself by embracing ambiguity and agnostic thinking: “Everything is true only in light of the individual’s beliefs.” Because of this, whatever my phone is feeding me on a particular day is probably what I am going to be thinking reality is. Sure, the algorithms only feed us what we watch and seek out, but can we really put all our hope in whatever given interests we have on a random Tuesday? I want to point to something that doesn’t change. And I want to search and discuss this with other people through stories. This is the mission of this podcast: To bring clarity to a world of confusion.

2. A Quest for Clarity

The fact is, there is a real objective TRUTH.

No. It is not defined by the government, some charming personality, a method of thinking, or digging deeper into your own heart.

THE MORAL ACTUAL REAL CAPITAL T TRUTH is outside of you. And it is waiting for you to accept it. You will have to believe in something if you are to have anything of a good life. If you say you believe in nothing then I would gently ask how you came to that conclusion. I have to believe something, and if I have to believe in something that something better be pretty rock solid. Friend, I have found that rock solid foundation where you can build your life. And I am going to have the audacity to share it with you.

All definition of who I am and where I am going stems from the words I find in a book that was written by God through human hands over thousands of years. It is interwoven perfectly. It’s topics include politics, history, religion, and many other things. The most important thing it does is introduce us to Jesus.

3. The Foundation:

I want everyone who ever reads this to walk away knowing this:

We really are imprisoned in a cave. We are all evil. The God man named Jesus was born with us in the cave, but because of His divinity He escaped out into the light. He showed me the way out. It isn’t easy. Bright reality is really painful when your eyes have only seen dark deception, however, it’s so much better. I left my old ways and am following Jesus through the pain and out into the light! I want you to join me. I want to help you escape the cave.
